Dirtyknees...

"Why is this dripping?" is never a good question.

DRB II

"I 'm really thirsty!" the hopeless feeling boy cried out again and again, but nobody came.

Hours passed; he didn't sleep. The next morning, he cried for water and still no response.

The hopeless feeling boy felt even more hopeless.

Then, something slid under his door. A bit of plastic.

He pulled gently...

It was long -- the skinny, hard kind of long with Zip-lock parts braided together to form a stiff rope.

He pulled carefully...

An entire Zip-lock bag with just enough appeared underneath his door and he picked it up with both of his hands.

It was cold.

How could this be?

He didn't hear anyone outside of his sealed door. Everyone was sleeping, even the guards.

He looked out of his window across he hallway. Another boy with a swollen lip and a boxer's fracture smiled wide from his cement box.

Then, the hopeless feeling boy brought the bag to his lips and he drank the cool water.

He finished and mouthed an almost silent "thank you" through the window to the boy with the swollen lip.

"Thank you."
