Dirtyknees...

"Why is this dripping?" is never a good question.

Nice, tidy, polite Singapore.

They give you candy at customs.

European toilets with electronic sensors are the standard. Air conditioning at all indoor facilities. Security cameras on every street corner. Sidewalks without pitfalls. Fixed prices and $1,000 fine for spitting. Satellite television on public busses.

I was the most smelly person on the bus.

We are staying at the YMCA. It's better than some Marriot's I've stayed in back home. The culture here in Singapore is ultra-modern, safety conscious, and efficient.

We are planning on staying here for 4 days. For $25 U.S. a night have access to the health club facilities and get a decent buffet breakfast every morning.

It's been fun exploring the area. It's row upon row of malls and banks around our hotel, but we plan to explore China Town and India Town later today or tomorrow.

So far, we haven't seen a single beggar or homeless person...they must have fines for that, too.
